COSMIC MYTH RECORDS

Earlier this year, Irwin Chusid and Michael D. Anderson started adding the music of Sun Ra to Bandcamp. They're doing this in agreement with the heirs and rightholders of Sun Ra's music.

This will also be the place where one can buy CD and vinyl editions of (some of) these digital albums. For this purpose, the Cosmic Myth Records label has been created.

Recently, the stereo / remastered version of "The Magic City" has been made available on CD and on vinyl.

And more recently, "My Brother The Wind" (expanded and remastered) got materialised on CD and vinyl as well.

Irwin Chusid adds:
"God Is More Than Love Can Ever Be" is one of my personal favorites — an amazing power trio (Sun Ra, acoustic piano; Hayes Burnett, bass; Samarai Celestial, drums — his first recording session with Ra).
By coincidence, this week Ben Young, Joe Lizzi and I completed a new restoration/remaster of this album, which will be the third or fourth LP/CD issue on our new Cosmic Myth Records label. The other album in the CMR pipeline is the solo piano set "Monorails and Satellites Vols. 1, 2, and 3". (Yes, there is an unreleased volume 3.) We expect to have special guest liner note writers for each new release. Christopher Trent (and Ben Young) contributed notes for Magic City, and Moog historian Brian Kehew (and Ben Young) did notes for MBTW. Edley ODowd is designing these stellar-looking packages.'
